About the School
Croeso - Welcome

A photograff of Ysgol Tal-y-bontWelcome to the website of Tal-y-bont Community School. The school takes pride in being a traditional village school which is at the centre of the area and community life.

Most of our pupils come from the village itself, and we take pride in everything we can offer them here at the school.

Our aim is to develop the whole child in a Welsh environment which is safe and happy.

Our members of staff are diligent, devoted and very enthusiastic, and they work hard to maintain standards and to make continuous improvements to the school. The parents and governors work closely with us, and contribute in a constructive way to give of their best to the children.

The pupils have been divided into three classes: one for children in Years 5 and 6, one for children in Years 3 and 4, and one for the Foundation Phase.

We are very proud of the school’s attainment standards, and the wide range of extra-curricular standards which we offer are also important to us – from competing in festivals and eisteddfodau to sporting and artistic pursuits.

Please read the Handbook for more information, or contact us to arrange a visit so that you can experience at first hand the lively atmosphere of the school.

Hefin Jones,

Headteacher
